just like other gamer, Im interested in the next Xbox that comes after the Xbox 360, that has the latest games.
I forgot where but somewhere I heard that it would be called 'Durango' but am unsure if that is true.
a friend told me it would be compatible with 'Steam' too
Will anybody enlighten this n00b?
Name of the next Xbox is 'Durango'?

Umm, I've not read anywhere where it would be called Durango. I'm afraid you have read something wrong.
Also, we know next to nothing about the Nextbox, so it's REALLY unlikely that your friend was right about Steam being compatible with the Nextbox.

This is good... isn't it?

Actually what you are referring to is the rumored code name for the Nextbox. So by the time it comes out it will be a new name by than. Multiply game companies in the past done this with there consoles where they would give the system a code name during internal development and when the system is in it final form the name will change.

Made by Cerebuz ( Micheal Patcher) from the Wii U forums.

I found out that Durango is just a code name, like Project Cafe was just a code name for Wii U.

This is good... isn't it?

I have heard it called Durango, but as a code name i think.
So yes i agree with BigBoss.
You know part of me wishes companies would release a version of their console with the code name printed on the box \7 console rather than the final name.
Like if they had released a black Wii with "Revolution" printed on the side.
Or a blue gamecube with "Dolphin".
Or an N64 with "Reality" or "Ultra 64" printed on the top.
Or a PS3 with... uhh... CRAP.

Maybe as a code name. I heard this somewhere else too, but do you really think microsoft is going to call it something that dumb lol

I honestly think that with Sony revealing their next as the PS4 and not something different like "orbis", that Microsoft will stick with the xbox name and go with the XBOX 720 - realistically everything is completely branded xbox - such as xbox live etc etc...so I think they will take a safe path and stick with a name people are familiar with.

I do not think it is Durango. I can see MS being like Apple. What I mean: Apple doesn't number their new iPads anymore. They are just called iPad. I can see MS going that route. "The New Xbox" if you will.

Probably as a code name.
