Valve Console Release
We've all heard about the recent rumour that Valve was working on a home console. Valve is just holding all options open. They said that you should expect a console, just not anytime soon. The interview wasn't all that long, but very informative. Valve sure has it figured out.Valve spoke with Kotaku recently about their console. The conversation was between Doug Lombardi and Kotaku. Doug said that the Valve was working on a number of things, including the Steam Big Picture mode, (an interface for people who want to play Steam games on their TV via their PC) but nothing will be released any time soon. "We're prepping the Steam Big Picture Mode UI and getting ready to ship that, so we're building boxes to test that on," he told Kotaku. "We're also doing a bunch of different experiments with biometric feedback and stuff like that, which we've talked about a fair amount... All of that is stuff that we're working on, but it's a long way from Valve shipping any sort of hardware."
After this, Doug was asked if Valve would ever do a console. His reply was, "I think that's accurate."
This will surely keep the hype going and people wondering and speculating, on whether the console is just a Valve branded PC or something completely different.
